The ISUZU GIGA 10 Ton Mounted Crane Boom Truck is a heavy-duty lifting and transportation vehicle designed for construction, infrastructure development, industrial equipment handling, machinery transportation, and other applications where heavy materials need to be loaded, carried, and positioned with greater flexibility at the job site. Built on the ISUZU GIGA 4×2 chassis with an 18,000 kg GVW and 5,800 mm wheelbase, the truck combines a substantial cargo platform with a powerful hydraulic telescopic crane, allowing one vehicle to perform both transportation and loading or unloading work without depending entirely on separate lifting equipment.

The truck is powered by the ISUZU 6HK1-TCG61 six-cylinder turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine, which delivers 241 HP and approximately 900 N·m of torque from its 7.79-liter displacement. The engine is matched with a FAST 8-speed manual transmission with 8 forward gears and 1 reverse gear, giving the driver a suitable range of ratios for highway transportation, loaded climbing, construction-site access, and low-speed maneuvering during cargo handling. A 300-liter fuel tank supports extended working routes, while the 24 V electrical system and dual 12 V/200 Ah batteries provide a suitable electrical foundation for the heavy-duty vehicle.

The rear section features an approximately 7,000 mm × 2,450 mm flatbed cargo platform with 600 mm side walls and a high-strength carbon-steel floor approximately 5 mm thick, providing sufficient space for machinery, steel products, construction materials, pipes, generators, and other heavy cargo. With an estimated 7,500–8,000 kg rated payload after accounting for the crane installation and supporting equipment, the vehicle maintains a practical balance between lifting capability and cargo transportation capacity.

The truck is equipped with a PALFINGER hydraulic telescopic boom crane capable of lifting up to 10,000 kg at a 2.5 m radius, with a rated lifting moment of 25 T·m and a dynamic crane moment of 42.4 T·m. The four-section boom can extend from approximately 5.3 m to 14.3 m, providing a maximum working height of about 14.0 m and a maximum lifting height of approximately 16.1 m with the outriggers deployed. Continuous 360-degree slewing, hydraulic front and rear outriggers, and a fully extended outrigger span of 5,600 mm give the operator considerable flexibility when positioning heavy loads around the vehicle.

This capacity makes the truck suitable for lifting machinery, prefabricated components, steel structures, generators, construction materials, pipes, and other heavy objects that need to be transferred directly between the cargo platform and the working area.

Four-Section Telescopic Boom

The crane incorporates a four-section telescopic boom that measures approximately 5.3 m when retracted and extends to around 14.3 m, allowing the equipment to remain relatively compact during transportation while providing substantially greater reach at the worksite. The boom can be raised through an approximately 0°–75° operating range, while continuous 360° slewing enables loads to be positioned around the truck without repeatedly repositioning the entire chassis.

Stable Hydraulic Outrigger System

Hydraulic front and rear outriggers are used to establish a stable working base before lifting operations begin, with a 5,600 mm fully extended outrigger span providing a wide support footprint for heavy-load handling. The outrigger system is particularly useful when the crane is working at greater outreach or lifting loads from the side of the truck, where maintaining a stable vehicle position is essential for controlled crane operation.

Its high-strength carbon-steel construction and approximately 5 mm floor thickness are designed for demanding commercial use, while the 600 mm side walls help retain and organize appropriate loads during transportation.

Efficient Hydraulic Power System

The crane operates through a hydraulic PTO system, with a hydraulic operating pressure of approximately 31 MPa, hydraulic flow of 60–90 L/min, and a 200-liter hydraulic oil tank. This configuration allows power from the truck engine to be transferred through the PTO and hydraulic system to operate the crane’s boom, slewing, lifting, and outrigger functions, providing controlled movement during loading and unloading operations.

Safety and Operator Control

The crane is equipped with a load-holding valve, emergency stop, and hydraulic safety lock to support controlled operation during lifting and lowering, while hydraulic manual control is available with remote control as an optional configuration. The engine exhaust brake also provides additional braking assistance during vehicle operation, particularly when the truck is traveling with a heavy cargo load on descending roads.
