Application:
In various corners of the world, every single second marks the onset of calamities such as building fires, major conflagrations, roof collapses, landslides, and serious accidents, necessitating urgent rescues and the uninterrupted functionality of critical infrastructure. Firefighters are pivotal in extinguishing fires and saving lives, thus demanding stringent requirements for firefighting vehicles. Among these, CAFS fire trucks stand out for their versatility in combating fires with large safety distances between operators and flammable objects, as well as their effectiveness in reaching inaccessible locations due to the exceptional throw range and height of the CAF foam.
Structure:
Similar to other types of fire trucks, CAFS fire trucks comprise a chassis and superstructure. However, distinctions exist between CAFS and foam tank fire trucks:
- The CAFS fire truck is equipped with an air compressor, which is not a necessity for foam tank fire trucks.
- CAFS fire pump, foam proportioner, and control system are integrated into the CAFS fire truck.
Elements of the CAFS system:
The CAFS system primarily consists of WATER, FOAM, and AIR:
- Water: Water can be stored on the truck or pumped from nearby sources such as rivers or ponds.
- Foam: Both Class A foam (used for structural fire extinguishing, exposure protection, and wildland fires) and Class B foam (suitable for hydrocarbons, polar solvents, and vapor suppression) are essential for this truck. Operators can accurately inject foam concentrate into the fire stream, with some opting to pre-mix the foam in the tanker.
- Air: Air can be introduced from a compressor, serving as a mechanical method of infusing high-volume air into the fire stream.
Promotion:
- Offer unparalleled safety, durability, and performance.
- Provide a high level of driving comfort.
- Deliver exceptional throwing range.
- Represent the all-rounder of compressed air foam systems.
- Feature a double cab for accommodating more passengers.
