ISUZU 8 CBM Garbage Truck
The ISUZU 8 CBM Garbage Truck is a professional municipal waste collection vehicle designed to efficiently collect, compress, transport, and discharge household garbage while reducing the occupied volume of waste during transportation. Built on a reliable ISUZU 4×2 left-hand-drive chassis, this truck is suitable for residential communities, commercial districts, industrial parks, schools, hospitals, and other urban sanitation applications where efficient and hygienic waste collection is required.
The truck is powered by an ISUZU 4HK1-TCG61 diesel engine, featuring four cylinders, a 5.193L displacement, and a nominal output of 189HP (139kW) with maximum torque of 507N·m. The engine is matched with an ISUZU MLD six-speed manual transmission with 6 forward gears and 1 reverse gear, providing strong and stable power for frequent stop-and-go operation during municipal garbage collection.
With overall dimensions of 7,490×2,300×2,680mm, a 3,815mm wheelbase, and a curb weight of approximately 6,500kg, the vehicle provides a practical balance between garbage-loading capacity and urban maneuverability. The 4-ton front axle and 7-ton rear axle offer a solid load-bearing foundation, while pneumatic brakes, ABS, and spring suspension contribute to dependable road performance and operational safety.
The garbage compactor body has a nominal capacity of 8 CBM and is manufactured from high-strength T420 and Q355 steel, providing excellent structural strength for repeated loading and compression operations. The compaction system incorporates an ejection cylinder, ejection plate, packer plate cylinders, scraper cylinder, skateboard cylinder, and other hydraulic components, allowing garbage to be compressed effectively before transportation.
With a maximum compression ratio of 1:3, the truck can significantly reduce the volume of collected waste, while the compressed garbage density can reach approximately 0.5-0.8t/m³. The maximum loading time is approximately 30 seconds, the unloading operation takes up to 50 seconds, and the maximum hopper lifting time is approximately 15 seconds, helping improve productivity during daily collection routes.
Features
1. Powerful ISUZU 4HK1-TCG61 Engine
The ISUZU 4HK1-TCG61 engine provides 189HP (139kW) of nominal power and maximum torque of 507N·m, giving the garbage truck sufficient power to handle frequent urban collection cycles and transportation with a fully loaded compactor body.
The four-cylinder, 5.193L diesel engine is paired with an ISUZU MLD six-speed manual transmission, offering six forward gears and one reverse gear for smooth power delivery and flexible driving. This combination provides a dependable solution for sanitation fleets that require vehicles to operate repeatedly throughout the day.
2. Durable 8 CBM High-Strength Compactor Body
The 8 CBM garbage compactor box is constructed from high-strength T420 and Q355 steel, providing the structural durability needed for repeated compression, loading, and unloading operations. The reinforced body is designed to withstand the considerable forces generated when household waste is compressed into a smaller volume.
The compactor box is equipped with an ejection cylinder and ejection plate, while multifunctional valves are installed at the front of the compactor body to simplify hydraulic control and improve the overall organization of the working system.
3. High Compression Ratio for Greater Waste Capacity
One of the main advantages of the ISUZU Compactor Garbage Truck is its ability to reduce the volume of collected waste before transportation. The system provides a maximum compression ratio of approximately 1:3, meaning a significant amount of loose household waste can be compressed into a much smaller volume.
After compression, the garbage density can reach approximately 0.5-0.8t/m³, allowing the vehicle to make better use of its 8 CBM body capacity and reduce the number of trips required to transport a given quantity of waste, which can improve overall fleet efficiency.
4. Efficient Hydraulic Compaction System
The hydraulic system incorporates a scraper cylinder, skateboard cylinder, rear flip cylinder, lifting cylinder, hydraulic oil pump, hydraulic tank, and dedicated hydraulic tubing, providing the power required for the major loading and compression functions.
Black rubber steel-wire hoses and steel oil pipes are used for hydraulic connections, while manual hydraulic operation provides a straightforward backup control method. The system is designed to deliver stable hydraulic force during repeated compression cycles, helping maintain consistent working performance during intensive waste collection.
5. Fast Loading, Hopper Lifting, and Unloading
The truck is designed for efficient daily collection, with a maximum loading time of approximately 30 seconds, a maximum hopper lifting time of 15 seconds, and an unloading operation time of up to 50 seconds. These relatively short operating cycles help reduce the time spent at individual collection points and improve the productivity of the entire garbage collection route.
The rear tailgate incorporates high-quality lifting cylinders, carriage plate cylinders, and a carriage plate, while the bin lifter can be configured for standard 120L and 240L garbage bins, making the vehicle suitable for organized household waste collection systems.
6. Integrated Sewage Collection System
Wastewater and liquid released from household garbage can create significant hygiene problems during transportation, so the ISUZU 8 CBM Garbage Compactor incorporates dedicated sewage collection tanks. One sewage tank is installed for the compactor box, while another sewage tank is positioned beneath the hopper with an inter-linked locking system.
This arrangement helps collect liquid generated during compression and loading, reducing the possibility of wastewater leaking onto public roads and helping maintain a cleaner working environment around collection points.
7. CAN-Electric and Manual Control Systems
The compactor uses a CAN-electric control system combined with manual operation, allowing the operator to select the appropriate control method according to working conditions. Electronic control buttons are provided both inside the cab and at the rear side of the truck body, giving operators convenient access to the main compaction functions.
An emergency stop button is also installed on the rear side of the vehicle, allowing the operator to quickly interrupt the working system when necessary. This combination of centralized and rear controls makes the garbage truck easier to operate during routine collection and maintenance activities.
8. Practical Cab and Chassis Safety Configuration
The ISUZU cabin is equipped with air conditioning, power steering, central locking, power windows, seat belts, radio, and other practical equipment, creating a comfortable working environment for the driver during long sanitation routes. The standard cabin is supplied in white, while colors and logos can be customized according to customer requirements.
The chassis is configured with ABS, pneumatic brakes, 4-ton front and 7-ton rear axles, and spring suspension, providing stable and controlled driving performance. Six standard wheels plus one spare tire are fitted with 235/75R17.5 tires, while protective devices, side lamps, working-area lights, and reflective stripes further improve visibility and safety during garbage collection operations.
