ISUZU Rescue Fire Water and Foam Truck
The ISUZU Rescue Fire Water and Foam Truck is a multifunctional firefighting and emergency response vehicle built on the ISUZU FTR 4×2 chassis, combining reliable road performance, a dedicated firefighting system, and practical equipment storage to support municipal fire departments, industrial facilities, commercial complexes, warehouses, and other locations requiring rapid emergency intervention. Powered by an ISUZU 4HK1-TC50 diesel engine with an approximate output of 205 hp and paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, this fire truck is designed to provide dependable mobility while carrying firefighting water, foam concentrate, hoses, and essential emergency equipment to incident locations.
With a proposed overall dimension of 8,300 × 2,500 × 3,450 mm, a 4,500 mm wheelbase, and a gross vehicle weight of 18,000 kg, the vehicle offers a practical configuration for fire protection duties where maneuverability, equipment accessibility, and sufficient liquid-carrying capacity are important. Its tank system consists of a 4,000-liter water tank and a 2,000-liter foam tank, providing a combined nominal capacity of 6,000 liters for water-based firefighting and compatible foam applications. The vehicle is equipped with a PTO-driven CB10/40 centrifugal fire pump rated at 40 L/s and 1.0 MPa, together with a roof-mounted PS40 fire monitor or an equivalent model, allowing trained operators to deliver firefighting water or properly proportioned foam according to the incident requirements and installed equipment configuration.
The fire truck features a dedicated firefighting body with side-mounted equipment compartments, aluminum alloy roller shutters, hose storage areas, tank-level indicators, and accessible pump controls, helping emergency crews organize their equipment and carry out operational procedures efficiently. An emergency LED light bar, electronic siren, and LED scene lighting improve visibility and warning capability during emergency response, while the 24 V electrical system supports the vehicle’s standard electrical equipment. For customers requiring additional rescue capabilities, optional equipment such as hydraulic rescue tools, portable lighting, and first-aid supplies can be considered according to the intended application. For other specialized emergency vehicles, customers can also explore our fire truck range, as well as our bucket truck range for elevated access operations and our crane truck range for lifting and material-handling applications.
Features
1. ISUZU FTR 4×2 Chassis and Diesel Power
Built on the ISUZU FTR 4×2 chassis, this rescue fire truck combines a medium-duty commercial vehicle platform with a specialized firefighting body, offering a practical solution for paved roads, urban streets, industrial parks, and other established road networks. The proposed ISUZU 4HK1-TC50 engine features a 5,193 cc displacement, turbocharging, and intercooling, with an approximate maximum output of 151 kW (205 hp), while the 6-speed manual transmission provides a range of gear ratios suited to different driving conditions. Power-assisted steering, an air braking system with ABS, and 10.00R20 tires further support routine vehicle handling and road operation, subject to the final chassis specification and destination-market requirements.
2. Separate Water and Foam Tanks
The truck is designed with a 4,000 L water tank and a 2,000 L foam tank, enabling crews to carry separate firefighting media and select an appropriate suppression method for the incident. The water tank can be manufactured from corrosion-protected carbon steel or, optionally, stainless steel, while the foam tank can use stainless steel or another material compatible with the selected foam concentrate. Internal anti-surge baffles help reduce liquid movement during acceleration, braking, and cornering, and dedicated filling connections, drainage valves, inspection manholes, and liquid-level indicators support routine filling, monitoring, inspection, and maintenance.
3. High-Capacity Fire Pump and Roof Monitor
Equipped with a proposed CB10/40 centrifugal fire pump, the vehicle is designed for a rated water flow of 40 L/s at 1.0 MPa, with the pump driven by the chassis engine through a power take-off (PTO) system. A vacuum-assisted priming system supports the pump’s water-drawing procedure, while suction connections and multiple delivery outlets allow compatible hoses and firefighting equipment to be connected as required. The roof-mounted PS40 fire monitor or equivalent provides a concentrated water stream for directing firefighting media toward the target area, with a proposed water-stream range of approximately 50–60 meters depending on operating conditions, nozzle selection, wind, and installation configuration.
4. Integrated Foam Proportioning and Discharge
The foam firefighting system is designed to work with a compatible proportioning unit and foam monitor, allowing the operator to mix foam concentrate with water at a selected ratio, typically 3% or 6% when supported by the specified equipment and foam concentrate. This configuration can support firefighting applications involving flammable-liquid hazards and other situations where an appropriate foam agent is required, provided that the extinguishing agent is suitable for the particular fuel or material involved. The actual mixing ratio, foam discharge performance, and compatible foam types should be confirmed during equipment selection to ensure that the completed vehicle meets the operational requirements of the fire department or industrial customer.
5. Practical Equipment Storage and Emergency Warning Systems
The firefighting body incorporates side-mounted storage compartments with aluminum alloy roller shutters, dedicated hose racks, and organized spaces for nozzles, branch pipes, suction hoses, and other accessories specified in the final delivery configuration. This arrangement helps crews access essential equipment without unnecessarily handling unrelated tools, while the emergency LED light bar, electronic siren, and LED work lights provide warning and scene illumination during nighttime operations or low-visibility conditions. Wheel chocks, reflective markings, and designated equipment storage areas can also be included to support safe vehicle positioning and orderly equipment management at emergency scenes.
6. Flexible Configuration for Firefighting and Rescue Duties
In addition to its standard water and foam firefighting functions, the vehicle can be configured with optional rescue equipment according to the needs of municipal fire services, industrial emergency teams, and commercial fire protection departments. Hydraulic rescue tools, portable lighting equipment, and first-aid supplies can be considered as additional equipment, while hose types, coupling standards, nozzle arrangements, and other accessories can be selected according to the destination country’s firefighting requirements. The proposed configuration provides a starting point for a customized emergency response vehicle, with the final equipment package determined by the customer’s operational needs, local regulations, and available chassis payload.
Specification note: The specifications above describe a proposed configuration and are not confirmed factory-certified data. Before production or quotation, the engine version and output, axle ratings, tank construction, pump performance, vehicle curb weight, and final dimensions must be verified. In particular, the completed vehicle must remain within the certified gross vehicle weight and individual axle limits after the tanks, bodywork, crew, and firefighting equipment are installed. The stated water and foam capacities, pump flow, and monitor range should therefore be confirmed against the final engineering design.
